Dear Northlake Lutheran Choir Members and Friends,
I hope you had a chance to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy your summer with family and friends. It certainly was one of the hottest on record!
Because there are a few choir people on vacation in September this year, I thought we’d wait for our potluck gathering until sometime later in the month. I’d like everyone to think about bringing a friend, relative and/or co-worker to rehearsal sometime during the year. One doesn’t have to have an operatic voice, just an enthusiasm for singing God’s praise in worship. A person could even come for part of the year if a year-long commitment is too much. Perhaps you’d like to join us for the Advent/Christmas or Lent/Easter season?
Rehearsals will begin on Thursday, September 10th in the choir room from 7-8:30 pm and we will be singing for worship for the first time this fall on Sunday, Sept. 20th at 8:30 am.
I have two unavoidable commitments at school on Thursday evenings this September and I need to move two choir rehearsals to Wednesday nights. I know we will have a couple people busy with Pioneer Clubs, but hopefully they can join us toward the end of rehearsal. We will meet in the sanctuary for rehearsals on Wednesday, Sept. 16 and 23 and not on Thursday for those two weeks. Please put these dates on your calendar- thanks!
I am looking forward to working with you again and sharing God’s Word in song!
Yours in Christ,
Lucy Kay Osborne
