Service

Northlake Lutheran Church has been an  active part of the community since it was established over fifty years ago.  In addition to providing  an ongoing ministry of Word and Sacrament as well as plentiful opportunities for Christian education, a third component of our mission is service to the community by:

  • Providing the church facilities as a meeting place for various community groups.
  • Meeting the needs of various community individuals:
    • Providing school supplies for children;
    • Providing a home for developmentally disabled citizens;
    • Providing Christmas gifts for families;
    • Providing food and funds to the local food bank;
    • Working on many other special projects.
  • Working with various social service agencies in the larger community, providing funding to them and benefiting from their educational presentations.
  • Working through the national church body to provide missionaries, build churches, and provide disaster relief and other humanitarian assistance.
