Moving Forward

Mission Planning Team established    

As a result of the Year of Transformation work that was done in 2007, Pastor Dick Wendt, our consultant, put forth the challenge to establish some immediate goals and also to look at more long range goals by establishing a three-five year plan.  The immediate goals have been published previously as
the Top Six 0of our “RED DOT” exercise.  We now move into the more extended planning.
 
To accomplish this, the Church Council has formed a Mission Planning Team, which consists of David Osborne, Brian Elbert, Cindi Engelhardt, Flo Lindstrom and Pastor Marvin.  This group will work to put a three-five year plan into document form.  The congregation is encouraged to provide input. So far the MP Team has several long range “goals” they would like to work toward, such as promoting the “small group” ministries (things like Ruth and Dorcas Circles, Knitters, Etc., Tuesday Bible Study, Quilting) that are currently in place. A goal would be to see these types of groups expanded to include a Men’s Group, an evening Bible Study, and possibly an After-School Program. Please contact any of the team members with your ideas.
